I was recently working on a computer that had more than one account and found the Winlogon DefaultUserName value changing everytime I switched accounts. I searched SpyBot forums and googled around but found no fix existed. At least not that I could find. Here's what worked for me.
Logged on as administrator>
Ran spybot and disabled Teatimer under advanced options. Closed spybot
Ran regedit and added [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"TeaTimer"="C:\\Program Files\\Spybot - Search & Destroy\\TeaTimer.exe"
closed regedit and logged off
Then proceeded to logon to each account and when TeaTimer popped up with the Winlogon DefaultUserName value changed
checked remember this decision and allowed change switch accounts and do the same for all of them.
Then start over and do these steps and deny the change whilst remembering the change and presto. no more annoying Winlogon DefaultUserName Change!
Maybe someone could tell me why it worked just curious.
Later.
