I have tried to reload windows two times, I have defraged my computer and it still is freezing after a few minutes. A message pops up that asks me to restart by pushing f8 or something about rebooting. I tried to run windows in safe mode with networking and I had a pop up saying something about being infected with malware so I'm pretty sure I have a virus. I dont know the first thing about computers so I'm going to need things explained to me like a child. Right now my computer is trying to install updates and it says not to unplug the computer. Im not sure what to do. Someone please help.

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.

Please understand from the limited information you have provided, there is no way I can know if I can help or not? If you want me to try, then read the directions pinned (sticky) to the top of the forum and posted above, then provide at least a HJT log to get us started.

Download Trend Micro Hijack This™ to your Desktop
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/hijackthis/HJTInstall.exe
Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

Thanks...Phil

Please understand that these remote repairs are not the easiest repairs to do. I suggest you ask someone with more computer experience to lend a hand, it rarely gets easier from here. If you downloaded HJT according to the instructions I posted, then now you need to do this:
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial94.html

Post the HJT log here the same way you posted the last comments except you will copy/paste the contents of the notepad.

Thanks
