Explorer.exe Referenced Memory Error?

Hi guys, I have a weird problem. I was saving pictures from Firefox and opening them in Photoshop, when suddenly Firefox totally disappeared. Then a minute or so later, Photoshop disappeared. After that, Explorer closed and said:

"The instruction at '0x7c910f29' referenced memory at '0xb7b7c6c6'. The memory could not be 'read'."

Any time I restarted Explorer it would say this, and now any time I try to browse for a file in Firefox (for instance, to upload something) it freezes the program.

I've tried restoring my PC to an earlier date, but each time it shows the progress bar and then at about halfway the screen goes black and leaves the cursor locked in the middle of the screen. After a while I decided to manually turn off the computer, and when it came back on it said it couldn't be restored to that date. I've tried a few others but to no avail. Now that I think of it, though, this computer has never been able to restart itself - it always goes black at some point and stays that way.

Any way I can fix this? I've looked all over the place and can't find any answers... just lots of questions about the same thing!

I ran MalwareBytes and HijackThis and here are my results. MalwareBytes found a bunch of infections the first time I ran it, but because of my problem I wasn't able to save a logfile. Now I just ran it again and it found no malicious items. I also ran RegSeeker and fixed the Registry Errors it found.

By the way, this isn't the first forum I came to, so they told me to use MalwareBytes but I'm going to try Spybot and see if it comes up with anything new for the heck of it. I'm out of ideas!

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

Please continue as follows:


Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix, link (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html)
Remember to re-enable them afterwards.


Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.


When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
