I have apparently been infected with an autorun.inf trojan. For several months I've experienced the scrambled jumble of symbols at the drive-right click (i.e., when I right click on my C:/ or F:/ Drives, the first option is not "open" but a bunch of random symbols, which fail to do anything when clicked on) which I have been told are symptomatic of an autorun.inf infection. A day or two ago, Nod32 informed me that I had the infection and cleaned a number of files. The issue with the scrambled "open" button has since disappeared.
However, Nod32 has reported and reacted to the presence of autorun.inf twice since it supposedly purged it. Spybot S&D brings up nothing. Both Nod32 and Spybot have been updated to their latest version. I'm at a loss to what the Trojan is actually doing to my system. However, given Nod32's reports (which lead me strongly to believe that it has failed to actually remove the source of the infection), I would imagine that it's in my system, and I'd rather like to remove it before it does begin to cause obvious problems (beyond the aforementioned text-scrambling).
