im in huge dilemma fr the last 1 week due to this problem

whnever i load a page take for example : google.com .. it tries to connect to google.com but then it says connecting to http: // ads.vk987.info and thn stops loading the page altogether.


i hav my internet via a lan connection . i guess its some kind of spoofing or arp poisoning because it does not happen all day..

whn im affected by viewing the page source of ny website the first line is
<script language="javascript" SRC="http://ads.vk987.info/vip.js"></script> , .. but it returns to normal whn im not.


can nyone suggest me whether its a prob in my pc or in the lan... moreover i get 2 ip other than the default gateway whn i type arp -a , can we find the source of the problem this way?

i mean to say there is another ip in arp -a list wch has the same mac address of the default gateway..can it be the source?

plz help ny experts?

i hav also done scannin with avg and malware bytes ..no virus found...
also with sdfix...no trojans found...

i hav tried other dial up connection where i didt hav any problem..so its mostly problem with the lan ... someone got ny idea how to solve this prob??

well so no ones knows the solution :O ...
so heres what u do whn something like this happens...
the above condition is called arp poisoning or spoofing.. where a computer frm ur own lan disguise itself as the mac address of ur default gateway. the condition results in redirecting of ur webpages and dramatic slowing down in the speeds of ur internet connection.

solution-

- install antiarp which is the best suited for this purpose which identifies the spoofer in your lan.
- if u have enough previlages in ur lan u could identify the spoofer though the above software and rectify the system...


ps: installing anti arp is only a blocking process wherein the spoofer is still present in the LAN. Hence i advice u to restrict the access of the particular currupted ip to the lan. AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR PC SO JUST DONT TRY OUT EVERY ANTI VIRUS TO SOLVE IT.
