Hiya! I'm trying to install SD 1.6 on a new computer that I bought about 2 weeks ago and am running into some pretty bad problems with getting it to install correctly.
My installs will not install teatimer, the updater, or another file.
Error message reads-
c:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SDUpdate.exe
An error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination directory:
MoveFile failed; code 2.
The system cannot find the file specified.
same mesage for teatimer.exe and sdfiles.exe
because of this, those particular functions will not run.
I have tried installing it under "run as administrator". I have downloaded it from every mirror you have, as well as download.com. choosing the save to disk option first, and then when that fails, choosing run from location, which also comes up with the same errors, and wont install those parts of the program. I've tried running it without activating teatimer, or the security integrations, and nothing is working to get a correct installation. I ALWAYS get those error messages no matter how I try to install it.
The system is as follows-
Intel dual-core 2.20 cpu
2 gig ram
300gig hdd
Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit - 64 bit not sure)
Spybot 1.6 latest release
