Hi, people. Just joined a free music/music video site called "imeem", which asked me to sign up in order to receive all the benefits. They of course asked for my email addy. After signing up, I was directed to do the initial signin through my current Yahoo email account, with the condition that imeem could/would access my address book, and only my address book. I refused, wanting to ask the helpful 'pros' here at Safer Net. I DO have access to my new imeem account with a reminder to sign in through Yahoo (granting them access to my Yahoo address book) within 10 days.

I had copied the signin agreement referenced above, but deleted it, so I'm going from memory, but imeem stressed that they could/would only access my Yahoo address book. Their reason being that I could "see" if any of my "Friends" were online at imeem ...

Whatta ya think? Anyone familiar with imeem?? I guess I could find the signin agreement with another username/account if it's necessarry for you folks to see it...

Thanking all in advance - I've gotten nice, accurate, friendly advice here before. Thanks

pfa

[Edit:] For security reasons, I have NO entries in my Yahoo addy book, nor do I intend to add any.

project playlist :) I use it alot, it streams music to your computer using a playlist you create, therefore its legal because you are not "downloading" the music.
