Outlook .pps mail attachment doesn't open

Hello,
When I try to "Open it" a .pps mail attachment in Outlook 2000, a Spybot scan window opens with a double line of the filename. When the scan is finished, the status column says "Nothing found" and the bottom of the window says " Scan finished". When I close the window, .pps file doesn't respond and stays closed. I tried waiting without closing the window, no joy.
This happens to all the .pps files in Outlook. What can I do to have them open again?
Operating system: Windows 2000 professional
Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106 SP1
Spybot : version 1.6.0
Outlook 2000

Hello,

please check the file association for .pps files.
To do this:

open an explorer window
select tools - folder options
switch to the File Types tab
search for the pps extension
make sure that the default application is your Software for pps files

Many thanks for your help. I had a little difficulty but managed to do it correctly and now I can open the pps files without problem. Have a nice Fall !
