Could you explain what are the entries found in the file Startup.tnfo are about.
I am interested in preventing Microsoft ActivSynch to re-install itself at startup all the time and would like to know what this entry is for:
[WCESCOMM]
Number=11842
Confirmed=N
Filename=WCESCOMM.EXE
Description=Active sync for use with Windows CE based palm PC
Source=Paul Collins Startup list

GLisimaque:

Startup.tnfo file provides the information displayed when you go into Spybot » Mode » Advanced Mode » Tools » System Startup and then highlight an entry and click the button on the right hand edge of the list of startup entries. It also provides the information when you click the Info button on TeaTimer registry change dialogs when there are changes to startup entries.

For blocking processes using TeaTimer see the following thread in the OpenSBI Discussion ( http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=50) forum.

I looked at the SBI forum. I first tried to create an SBI file based on what I unerstood and the WCSECOMM.exe file was wiped out of my system. I understood I had to do with the registry only. I downloaded and installed the latest version of Registry Analyser. I exported the SBI file related to the registry entry I want to block but I must be missing something as this program gets back in the registry all the time just as if the registry entries weher not protected with SpyBoot. All this worked just fine with the previous version of SpyBoot and I do not know what has changed.

Sorry for being a slow learner.:oops:
