i think im infected with a virus...
my computer slowed down, and i got many viruses detected by spybot..
i forgot the names of the viruses, but i know it said it cant be removed.
i read the "Before posting" thread, but i didnt get why i should go in safe mode.
and also, when i open my computer, ctrl+alt+del is hard to make it work. luckily, i get to open my computer.

i dont know if the ctrl+alt+del problem was a virus, but i will ask help from a technician.

here is my HJT log:

hi,

you have some nasties. that is a workplace computer. we have a policy about that somewhere. Dont you have someone in house who can help you? A loaded computer on a workplace network can do damage in more ways than one.
i would contact your IT/computer person ASAP or at least get the ok for me to help you.

well, this was a used computer, and it was from my sister who used it for working before. she got it from her office, so im guessing its an office type or working type of computer.

well, i can appreciate all the help i can get here, but i can tell my sister to give it a check from her office.

hi,

so the computer is yours or your sisters personal property now? just want to make sure the computer dosnt belong to a business, because that would make it there property.

its both ours, and no business corporation. i only meant that she uses it for her work, in her office before. now its just here at home, while i am using it because she has a new one.

well, there is a technician where my sister goes to work, and i could give it a check to him.

hi,

i can help you. before using hjt please disable spybots tea timer so it wont interfere with changes. how:

1. Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
2. If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
3. On the left hand side, Click on Tools
4. Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
5. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
6. Restart your computer.

next we will use hjt:

start HJT, click the "Scan" button. check the items below, close any open windows, then click "Fixed checked"

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSFox] C:\DOCUME~1\leineeth\LOCALS~1\Temp\xxx279.exe

looks like you have two anitvirus installed, AVG and Symantec, only one is needed on a machine. look in add/remove programs and uninstall one of them.

next we will get another download to use:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop:

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt

please post the malwarebytes log and a new hjt log

hi,

ok good.
it requires an uninstall password must be because its a Corp. edition. try the words:

symantec, admin or password as the password

Registry Cleaners are not very effective.

post a uninstall list like this:

start hjt
click on the 'open misc tools section"
click on 'open uninstall manager"
click on "save list"

please post the list in your reply.

download and run ATF cleaner:

http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

hi Neil239,

ok no problem. you dont have to uninstall them. SAP is used in a business environment and possibly the other also. Since you use the computer at home, you wont need these- up to you. post the hjt log when you can.

Hi,

sorry for double posting, but i spybot found a trojan on my scan just today.
it was some kind of win32 or something, but spybot managed to removed it.
but, i've seen some post of other people that they say it comes back.. i think.

well, just here to let you know.

hi,

log looks ok. if spybot removed whatever it was then i wouldnt be concerned about it. repeat the scan after updating spybot, also scan with a updated malwarebytes.
