The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "SpyBlocs" manually.

Description:
The program pretends to be an antivirus program. When it is installed on the computer it finds a lot of malware (that do not really exist) and that only can be removed by buying a licence.
Supposed Functionality:
SpyBlocs is supposed to be an antivirus software.
Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.


Shortcuts named "SpyBlocs.lnk" and pointing to "GLF7.exe".



Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.


Entries named "SpyBlocs" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\eBlocs\SpyBlocs\GLF*.exe".
Entries named "SpyBlocs" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\eBlocs\SpyBlocs\GLF7.exe".



Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.


Products that have a key or property named "eBlocs Security Toolbar".
Products that have a key or property named "SpyBlocs 6.0".



Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.


The file at "<$DESKTOP>\SpyBlocs.lnk".
The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\spyblocs.set".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\sb_affiliate.ini".
A file with an unknown location named "spyblocs6.exe".


Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SpyBlocs uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.


The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Ads Blocker".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Download".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Download\tmp".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Password Alert".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Patch Alert".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Scam Alert".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Scam Alert\images".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Spyware Alert".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ssstbar\Virus Alert".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\SpyBlocs".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\eBlocs".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\eBlocs\SpyBlocs".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\eBlocs\SpyBlocs\{4E8AB89B-4BE8-4AF8-80A6-F98FDFEB9EB4}".


Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SpyBlocs uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.


Delete the registry key "SpyBlocs" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Digital River\SoftwarePassport\Network Dynamics, Corp.\".
Delete the registry key "ebc" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "eBlocs" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "WsLiveUp" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SssTbar.SecurityToolbar", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SssTbar.SecurityToolbar.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{EBFA54AD-64D4-4BFF-98C6-304703831D3A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "eBlocs" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "eBlocsKeepSafe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "WsLiveUp" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry value "{68FF9E0F-2E96-4467-87FA-1A8B9734C7E7}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\".
