any help appreciated
Downloaded S&D yesterday
run scan stops on Vituamonde.dll asks for restart...do it freezes on it agin asks for restart did it froze again came here
saw in other threads to download hijack this and combofix
scared to run combofix solo
removed p2p programs as stated before

What ever you do DON'T run Combo fix without supervision as it can seriously mess up your system as I found out to my cost last year when I played around with it:red:.
Just because it stops on that part of the scan does not mean you are infected.
To work out what's wrong please answer the following questions:
What version of Spybot are you using? the latest stable public release is 1.6.0.30.
What operating system are running e.g. Windows 98SE, XP etc?
What Firewall to use e.g. Zone Alarm, Comodo etc?
What Anti Virus program are you using e.g. Avast!, AVG etc?
Does your system have any symptoms of a Virus or Malware invasion?
Have you tried clearing out your temp and Internet files?
Have you tried Defraging your Hard Drive(s)?
Have run Scan Disk Lately?
