Need Help With Spybot!!

Okay so, first of all I hope I am posting the correct forums. If not, I am sorry.

I seriously need help with my Spybot Search and Destroy. It will not run at all. I can open anything like Update, File Shredder, Tutorial, but when I go to open the scanning window it acts like I never even clicked it. I do not get the loading icon, nothing. Not even a two second box appearance.

And this only started happening when I got the red circle with the white X on my toolbar that insists every fifteen second my computer is infected. I hae no other protection besides Spybot, so I would appreciate some help!

I am not so good with computers when it comes to protection.

Please help.

Your computer is infected with malware, and it is the malware that is disabling Spybot. You'll have to rename Spybot's desktop icon to something else. For example: "Spybot-SD".
