Hi there,

I'm new to this, so, please have patience with me.

I run Spybot-S&D today for the 1st time on my PC (after reading the turotial & downloading updates) and the results included:
Marketengines: Bookmark (Firefox: default)
Toolster.MSCheck: Bookmark (Firefox: default).
I chose "fix problems" and Spybot-S&D fixed them.
But when I run Spybot-S&D again, they were still listed in the results report. I chose "fix problems" again, again they were fixed, but still there on the "checking for problems".

I would like some help on following:
Is there a problem or not? If yes, how can I fix it for good?
If Spybot-S&D fixes them, why do they list back?

Before posting this, I read quite a lot of the posts here, but found nth to help me.

Here is the (last) results report (past from clipboard):

Hint of the Day: Click the bar at the right of this to see more information! ()
Marketengines: Bookmark (Firefox: default) (Bookmark, nothing done)
Toolster.MSCheck: Bookmark (Firefox: default) (Bookmark, nothing done)

Hi

Let's see if anything shows up in your HijackThis log.

Download and install TrendMicro HijackThis (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/_download/HJTInstall.exe)
* Once installed open HijackThis by clicking Start > Programs > HijackThis and click the button labeled
Do a system scan only

* Click the scan button in the lower left hand corner of the interface and HijackThis will quickly scan your system.
* Once the scan is complete the scan button will now read save log. Click this button to save the log file to your PC. Once you select where you would like to save the file it will open in your systems default text editor. Typically this application is Notepad. Post the log here.

Thanks for the interest & reply.

I manually looked up & deleted the bookmarks mentioned in the results of Spybot-S&D in the Bookmarks Library of Firefox. Then run Spybot-S&D again and the problems weren't there anymore - nth else was detected either.

Do you think I should still run the suggested procedure?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

If your system doesn't have any symptoms remaining then no need to post the log :)
