I am logged into the forums here, but when I try to post a new posting to "Malware" I get a message I am not logged in ??

Can you clarify on "Malware"? Is it a thread? Or are you starting your own thread?

If you are responding to a thread in the Malware Removal Forum you cannot.

It finally let me on a few minutes ago. I was posting a new thread in to Malware Removal in order to get help with what I suspect might be a Zlob infection
Thanks

I finally got my Malware Removal posting posted last night (Sunday) about midnight.

I understand your helpers are very busy, and it appears particularly busy at this time (today 24 Nov). I did see this statement from your moderator:
"Our own required waiting period before posting in this sub-forum, will vary depending on the availability of helpers, any changes will be edited in.",

But it also appears that many of the questions (Malware Removal postings) of yesterday (Sunday) have gone unanswered, while many of todays (Monday) are being answered.

Is there a reasoning for this??

I am concerned about getting the problem resolved as I will likely be away from my computer for several days starting Wed when I must pick up my Thai stepson who won a scholarship to US university to study physics.

Sincere Thanks for explaining reasoning

Hello,

Most topics responded to today are from at least November 22nd. ;)

Others are an ongoing work in progress, and volunteers will probably choose infections they are most familiar with.

Mondays are always a catch up process because people do spend time with their families over the weekend.

Your topic was started late Sunday, our analysts are in different time zones.

However if you really cannot wait because of your situation, which is totally understandable, you might want to choose the 'computer shop' method.

Else hopefully someone will respond to you soon.

Best wishes. :)

briane:

With further analysis, I think you will find, with few (if any) exceptions, that the malware removal specialists are not slighting you (or any other) poster to the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum.

When reviewing the entries in the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum, if you change the Display Options from the default of:
Sorted By > Last Post Time
Sort Order > Descending
From The > Beginning
To something like:
Sorted By > Thread Start Time
Sort Order > Ascending
From The > Last 2 Weeks, Last 10 Days, Last Week or even Last 2 Days)
I think you will find that the malware removal specialists are attempting to resolve the oldest problems (threads) that they are either working on or have been posted to the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum first before taking on brand new problems. In other words it is not necessarily the order of the individual posts in the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum are posted in that dictates the order that those posts are answered in by the malware removal specialists, but rather the order that the problem (threads) were first published in the forum.

Great, thank you very much.

I guess I did not know how this forum website was laid out, and I did not see the time of a person's first posting...that had me believing that 'todays postings' were being answered prior to yesterdays.

Sorry for that misunderstanding.

I do appreciate the manner in which they try to help each person individually. That's a real commitment.
