Its says its from XP Protection Center and it prevents me running Spybot S&D so I know it is Malware. The problem is similar to these posts I have read here:

Default Search Engines Redirect Results & Unable To Update Virsu Protection
Just started having this problem the past couple of days - Google - Yahoo - MSN all redirect search results to what appear to be commercial pages. Even when I search from the page itself instead of a toolbar. I thought I could fix it on my own - trying to install Spybot S&D and it won't install - it says connecting to 127.0.0.1 (I think) and unable to connect - I have had a simular problem with updating or installing any other program - I finally found this fourm and was able to install HJT - here's the log file...

Angry Infected and Can't Run HJT
I picked up a bit of malware. It claims it is named XP Protection Center and it prevents me running Spybot S&D, it prevents running HJT, it reinstalls itself when I reboot and installs the Google screen as my default browser. It keeps telling me my computer is infected and that I need special spyware removal software to solve my problem. HELP! I ran PCTools registry mechanic and that didn't help -- got rid of a bunch of crud but didn't get rid of this.
However the solution is not working for me. I believe my laptop got infected last night and I am now unable to run spybot. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but can not connect to safer-networking.org or to many other sites as such listed for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. even when transferring the .exe via flash drive as far as spybot i got to the point where is was unable to connect to the IP and for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware i double click and it does nothing.
Its seems like a scary virus, please help.
