The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "ABetterInternet.imGiant" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Displays ads that are displayed when the main product is not active.
Supposed Functionality:
imGiant is a multiple instant messenger for the most common IM services. It also offers direct web search and a sports ticker.
Privacy Statement:
Occasionally, ImGIANT may display additional options to you, through the ImGIANT Software or the ImGIANT Website, inviting you to opt in and supply non-anonymous information that is unique to you, such as your name or contact information (“Personal Information”). This information will only be used for the purpose stated upon the request of such information.

IP Addresses. Your use of the ImGIANT Software or the ImGIANT Website will involve the transmission of your Internet protocol address (“IP Address”) to ImGIANT’s servers. This IP Address is necessary for communication with you via the Internet and may be used and stored on our servers. With the cooperation of your Internet service provider, it is possible for your IP Address to be used to identify you personally, however, ImGIANT agrees that it will not use it for this purpose, unless required to by law.

Third Party Collection. The ImGIANT Software will display to you targeted websites and advertisements that are hosted by third parties (“Websites”). These Websites may place cookies on your hard drive and use the cookies to tailor delivery of content to you by profiling your use of a site or advertisements that you select. These Websites may collect information such as your IP address, your browser type and the date and time that the targeted Website was served to you.
Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

A file with an unknown location named "imGiant.dll".
A file with an unknown location named "imgiant.inf".
A file with an unknown location named "imGiant.cab".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If ABetterInternet.imGiant uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{00000062-2E5F-4AF7-986E-5B64E0951A96}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "imGiantDll.imGiantDllObj", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "imGiantDll.imGiantDllObj.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{237CB7A2-E26E-443B-B16E-5DA66584B05B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{C0168E40-6211-4113-9202-B9B852CB12FC}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{00000062-2E5F-4AF7-986E-5B64E0951A96}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
If ABetterInternet.imGiant uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
