The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Divago.Surfairy" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Groups named "Surfairy".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "Surfairy".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Surfairy\License.txt".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Surfairy\Readme.txt".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Surfairy\SurfairyFinalSetupStep.html".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Surfairy\SurfairyPP.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Surfairy\uninstall.ini".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\win32sf32.ico".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\win32sfh.ico".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Divago.Surfairy uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Surfairy".

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "Surfairy" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SurfairyPP.SurfairyFilter", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SurfairyPP.SurfairyFilter.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SurfairyPP.SurfairyHlp", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SurfairyPP.SurfairyHlp.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{B9F28C0A-58DF-4158-A3B2-5E0F9C4C6EE8}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{E0B9B5FE-B66E-4FB0-A1D9-726F0E743CFD}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "SURFAIRY" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\BROWSE\".
Delete the registry key "{2223664C-1942-4276-9A2D-E8D8F547C5D2}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\".
Delete the registry key "{BB9AAAF3-4F8D-48B5-A565-FF3E58433DC2}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{E0B9B5FE-B66E-4FB0-A1D9-726F0E743CFD}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry value "{2223664C-1942-4276-9A2D-E8D8F547C5D2}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\CmdMapping\".
If Divago.Surfairy uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
