The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "ExpertAntivirus" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
ExpertAntivirus claims to be a solution against all kinds of malware and spyware. When the user starts a scan, it finds some harmless files and registry entries as high risk problems and if the user wants to solve these false positives detected by ExpertAntivirus he has to purchase a licence.
Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Shortcuts named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\ExpertAntivirus.EXE".
Shortcuts named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe".
Shortcuts named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe".

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Items named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1 Un-Installer.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\uninst.exe".
Items named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1 Website.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\ExpertAntivirus.url".
Items named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\ExpertAntivirus.EXE".
Items named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe".
Items named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe".

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Quicklaunch symbols named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\ExpertAntivirus.EXE".
Quicklaunch symbols named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe".
Quicklaunch symbols named "ExpertAntivirus v4.1.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "ExpertAntivirus" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\ExpertAntivirus.exe*".
Entries named "ExpertAntivirus" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe*".
Entries named "ExpertAntivirus" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\*.exe*".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "ExpertAntivirus".

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\ExpertAntivirus.url".

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\plugin.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\registry.db".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If ExpertAntivirus uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\ExpertAntivirus".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Languages".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Logs".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Plugins".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Plugins\DesktopManager".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Plugins\DesktopManager\Languages".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Plugins\StartupEditor".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Plugins\StartupEditor\Languages".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExpertAntivirus\Quarantine".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If ExpertAntivirus uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{16DD131D-C09F-4F83-A1E7-A2CF506EA27C}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{7C1530BD-16B0-41A9-B428-17EE8CBD3E06}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{9EC61371-C3B9-FCC1-EE6F-2E4E8D12DFFC}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{3E67E9DC-7294-44C3-BC99-EA6E29E74076}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{7C1530BD-16B0-41A9-B428-17EE8CBD3E06}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{D59B2DD5-0609-4BDC-AB47-A9A28ABC482A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{B60F5AFA-EDD2-417D-A438-57F3EBD9E639}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "ExpertAntivirus" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "ExpertAntivirus.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ExpertAntivirus.Addin", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ExpertAntivirus.Addin.1", plus associated values.
If ExpertAntivirus uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
