The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Fake.SecurityAlert" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Fake.SecurityAlert shows a fake security center and tries to make the user believe that he should download various rogue antispyware tools like WinIFixer. Fake.SecurityAlert copies some malicious files to the Windows directory and creates an autorun entry to be launched on every Windows startup.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "iSecurity applet" and pointing to "*".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$DESKTOP>\Advanced XP Defender.lnk".
The file at "<$DESKTOP>\Advanced XP Fixer.lnk".
The file at "<$DESKTOP>\SystemDefender.lnk".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\iSecurity.cpl".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Resources\RomRunOnce.dll".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\oadkxrts.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\epfg.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\iSecurity.dat".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\syscleaner.bmp".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\syscleanerinstalled.bmp".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\systemdefender.bmp".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\systemdefenderinstalled.bmp".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\winifixer.bmp".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\winifixerinstalled.bmp".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\WiniFixer\setup.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fake.SecurityAlert uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$SYSDRIVE>\term.bat".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IE Extensions".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity\WiniFixer".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iSecurity".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fake.SecurityAlert uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Remove "<$SYSDIR>\iSecurity.cpl" from registry value "AppInit_DLLs" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\".
Delete the registry value "iSecurity" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad\".
Delete the registry value "iSecurity" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad\".
Delete the registry value "PreBootCheck" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad\".
Delete the registry value "PreBootCheck" at "HKEY_CURRENT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad\".
Delete the registry key "{A8311E8F-E459-4D22-89B4-CB9DCF10A425}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{A8311E8F-E459-4D22-89B4-CB9DCF10A425}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "iSecurity.mgr", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "iSecurity.mgr.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "zip.plugin", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "iSecurity" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\".
Delete the registry key "iSecurity" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "{d0e28824-5afa-4c7f-8f5e-77efb856737f}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "CJ.cjmgr", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "CJ.cjmgr.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry value "iSecurity applet" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run".
If Fake.SecurityAlert uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
