The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "FriendGreetings" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries pointing to "Common Files\Media\winsrvc.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that are named "Friend Greetings".
Products that are named "WinSrv Reg".
Products that have a key or property named "Friend Greetings".
Products that have a key or property named "WinSrv Reg".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\as.ini".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\Otms.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\OTDock.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\Otglove.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\Otupdate.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\Winsrvc.dat".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\Winsrvc.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Common Files\Media\Uninstal.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If FriendGreetings uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{7011471D-3F74-498E-88E1-C0491200312D}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{7677C920-9CC3-4621-AF8C-AD45402DC2FD}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{F4F56E55-FD38-438C-8519-93E74B2F5C3E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{0F6C529B-ADF8-4B4D-9482-A370F50FA811}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{059D8C85-A00F-40AF-8078-7692A0A79F19}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{3972ADCE-8737-45DE-A6E2-A253348E5A1E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{94D4ADFB-AA5E-4297-B0CC-F3843B541267}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{005D87A6-D508-449B-AEC1-87B3AA6F4A5E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{7011471D-3F74-498E-88E1-C0491200312D}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
If FriendGreetings uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
