The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "ISearchTech.ISTsvc_Updater" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
ISTsvc_updater connects to the internet and installs ISTsvc.
It does not state required information.
ISearchTechnologies tends to use several exploits to install its software without user consent.
Supposed Functionality:
"IST has developed a product aimed at both the surfer and the webmaster in the form of an addictive Internet Explorer toolbar. Designed by the webmaster, it brands the webmaster's website and creates surfers loyalty too.

The toolbar can be built and distributed through a highly effective affiliate program aimed at the webmaster or anyone that is willing to cash-in their traffic by distributing IST products."
Removal Instructions:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\shortcuts.txt".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If ISearchTech.ISTsvc_Updater uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!
