The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "SpyOnThis" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

related to SpywareBomber,
website and software do not reveal the commercial character of the software until the user tries to use it to fix a found item, fixing is only possible after registration, regardless of userinteraction upon the dialog , the internetexplorer opens and goes to the registration site which is NOT linked on the website.
also domain is registered over domains by proxy which is not a valid option for a proper company.

also uses domain hijack-this.net to promote SpyOnThis, thus exploiting the name of HijackThis

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "{B72A13A7-CCCD-407A-882B-4CFC2ADD39EF}_is1".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\SpyOnThis\SpyOnThis Monitor.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\SpyOnThis\SpyOnThis Scanner.lnk".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyOnThis\base.sot".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyOnThis\config.xml".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyOnThis\settings.ini".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyOnThis\SpyOnThis.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyOnThis\SpyOnThisMonitor.exe".
The file at "<$DESKTOP>\SpyOnThis Monitor.lnk".
The file at "<$DESKTOP>\SpyOnThis Scanner.lnk".
A file with an unknown location named "SpyOnThisSetup.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SpyOnThis uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{2A1E37A4-04F1-5535-0715-F2C7C83EB4EE}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry value "{041B0275E8944912A}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Licenses\".
Delete the registry value "{I41B0275E8944912A}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Licenses\".
If SpyOnThis uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
