The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "SpyStriker" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
The program is installed through a downloaded .exe file. It produces false positives in order to threaten the user to purchase the full version. It also flags Spybot S&D.
Supposed Functionality:
supposed to be an anti-spyware software
Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Shortcuts named "Spy Striker.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\SpyRem.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker™\Help.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker™\Spy Striker.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker™\Uninstall.lnk".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\Core.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\DataBase.ini".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\Errors.txt".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\gdiplus.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\Help.chm".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\hosts".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\Scan Session.txt".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\SCLabel.ocx".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\Splash.spl".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\SpyStriker.skf".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\unins000.dat".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\unins000.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\update.cli".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker\update.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SpyStriker uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\SpyStriker.com".
The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker™".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyStriker.com\SpyStriker".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SpyStriker uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{5C88CBC4-1430-44A3-B9F7-9C06A10EE886}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{B842E321-726E-45DC-A56B-2CFCE0FC603B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
If SpyStriker uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
