Hi , I need help to remove virtumonde on my PC , I'm not very PC friendly and need a step by step guide , any kind hearted takers ?

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.

Paul, you must stop started new topics, read the directions which tell you to post once and wait for a helpers.

Posting additional comments or logs before a volunteer responds, can push you back instead of forward, because your thread ends up with a newer date. Also, helpers may think you are already being assisted because of the post count.

1) You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.

How do you know this, what program is telling you this, what symptoms are occuring?

3) Post an uninstall list: Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

Paul, I have no objections to closing this topic and you can post again when work slows down so you have time to concentrate on the computer. Working on the computer is not the kind of thing you want to be rushing through because a mistake or not reading the directions can be dangerous. I requested three things.

1) That you remove one of the antivirus programs because of the problems running two can cause, with validation links.


AVG8 and Symantec Shared <<< uninstall one of those and post a new HJT log.


2) Some information about the symptoms that are occuring, reason why you think you have the infection.

3) A uninstall list.

So far you have posted one out of three? If you want the topic closed for now or put on hold for a short period, please let me know, otherwise you need to read and follow the directions and on a timely basis.
