Well being one of the many who have enjoyed Trackmania Nations, a free download, I'm a little upset that it contains malware.

Starforce places things on your computer without your permission. A keynote of Malware/Spyware
Starforce hides itself. Another keynote of Malware/Spyware.
The removal link does not seem to work. A very good indicator of, "Fake! I got you!" Malware (Think it works? Check your regedit, see below for entries.)

Oh, and starforce is hell to get rid of, especially the regedit entries; sfdrv, sfhlp, and sfsync.

Why there's copy protection in a free to download game I'm not sure, however it's there and it can physically destroy my hardware.

While they go on about "it's fine aslong as your not a pirate" I dont care, I was never informed of it's installation and a review of the EULA that comes with the installer still doesn't reveal "Starforce" being installed.

The tool they supply, which isn't even hosted by them doesn't removal anything, it just stops it from running & the entries are still left behind.

Aparently the only people who are having trouble with it are those who are trying to remove it. I dont see why I'm not allowed to uninstall it, especially when I was never made aware it was being installed.

So if it's in your power and you think this worthy of being added to Spybot, please do. I dont think I can trust any removal tool these people will provide.

I do not know much about the program...but i would be willing to bet that in the read me file/liscense agreement, it makes you agree to them being able to put any files they want on your computer:(
