The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Popguide" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Popguide installs a BHO and an autorun entry to run an update on every system startup. It is of Korean origin and tries to spy on the user's surfing behaviour.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "livevisualguide" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\livevisualguide\livevisualguideupdate.exe".

Important: There are more autorun entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "livevisualguide".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\livevisualguide\livevisualguide.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\livevisualguide\livevisualguidemodule.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\livevisualguide\livevisualguideupdate.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\livevisualguide\uninstall.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Popguide uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\livevisualguide\html".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\livevisualguide".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Popguide uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "livevisualguide.livevisualguideobj.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "livevisualguide.livevisualguideobj", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "livevisualguidemodule.livevisualguide.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "livevisualguidemodule.livevisualguidemo", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{00C1027D-06FD-439A-BF2C-2BE228337C6A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{6869BD91-601E-4E67-A72F-82C1F54FA811}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{7295F057-9BD1-43C6-96A6-1DFDB18C633A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{BAF7B10C-2E54-4550-9A39-04DD2D8A3FB6}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{C0B73253-8069-46E9-9385-222F0C04E747}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{C8A2DDEB-7CD4-42BF-96C0-2874B1287362}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{D93CAC65-C339-43A7-9D0F-24B8C10C13EF}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{E26F4470-6944-4BCE-97F2-FE9A5F709A34}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "livevisualguide.DLL" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "livevisualguide" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "livevisualguide" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "livevisualguidemodule.DLL" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
If Popguide uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
