The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "WebBuyingAssistant" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
WebBuyingAssistant can be installed and executed without user consent, it can install itself in background with the help of a trojan horse. It has no uninstall entry and connects to its servers wihtout user consent while the Internet Explorer runs.
Supposed Functionality:
supposed to be some kind of assistant for webrelated advertising
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "WebBuying" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying\v?.?.?\webbuying.exe".
Entries named "WebBuying".
Entries named "WebBuying" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying\v1.6.8\webbuying.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "WebBuying".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying\v1.6.4\webbuying.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\invupdate.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying\v1.6.8\wbuninst.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying\v1.6.8\webbuying.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying\v1.6.8\webbuying.dll".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\webbuying.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If WebBuyingAssistant uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Web Buying\v1.6.8".

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{4886E1BD-560B-4D75-AD85-D66CCE2DDF53}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "PopEngine.DLL" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{C318CD44-E327-4377-A28E-6EC16A921AE8}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{C318CD44-E327-4377-A28E-6EC16A921AE8}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{C318CD44-E327-4377-A28E-6EC16A921AE8}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Plugin.Plugin", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Plugin.Plugin.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{20E65AC6-C457-484D-B386-AD2DB3753865}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{15CEB2D5-4E8F-4B18-B335-34A5995DB3E8}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{839DF29D-6993-475A-9411-B2DA1B9819B6}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
If WebBuyingAssistant uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
