Categories:

Description:
The file taskdir.exe installs taskdir~.exe into the system32 folder, and runs in background. This file connects to the internet and downloads a file called scane.exe. taskdir.dll hides all files with a "taskdir" in their name. taskdir.exe checks every 5 seconds the hidden file index.dat in the TIF (Temporary Internet Files) folder. The users surfing behaviour can be found out that way. How to clear index.dat: http://www.zdnet.de/enterprise/os/0,39023494,20000261,00.htm
