Hi Guys,

You did such a great job helping me out last year that I was hoping someone would take a look at my hijack this log and tell me if there is any problems that need sorting. From the last two days I keep getting a DCOM exploit attack which is picked up by my antivirus but never had this problem before. Also got two e-mail spam of which I have steered clear of before now. Last night I left avast to do a full scan but when I woke up the computer had rebooted and no scan results and on last restart my desktop changed back to a previous one from 2 weeks ago. Just a few of the strange things that have happened this week. Have spybot, ad-aware SE, blackice firewall,
spyware blaster, spyware guard and have just installed the new windows defender (hope this is not the problem).
Thanks Guys

Tommy

Looks ok, but lets get a second opinion.

Post a report from one or both of these free online scans.
Panda ActiveScan-Free online scanner,
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm
Do a full scan > Click the my computer button
After the scan click see report then Save the report and post it back here please.

Kaspersky Lab - Free Online scan:
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Click scan settings and place a check next to use [x]extended this database etc etc. Click ok.
Then choose: my computer: scan all your hard drives and mapped disks.
when finished click save as text and post that in your reply.

Yes there IS a problem as you can see the pc is infected.

Download Pocket Killbox to the desktop (version 2.0.0.648)
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.exe
If you already have killbox ensure it is the latest version. ?
Start Killbox place a tick next to [x]Delete on reboot
Copy the bolded linbe below into windows clipboard, all the Bolded below.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\mslogon.exe

Back in Killbox go > file > paste from clipboard,
Click the red highlighted X button and say yes to the prompt to restart the pc.

Killbox will have created a C:\!killbox folder and put that file there
attach it here please, then delete that folder.

Are there any current problems ?

Put in place a good hosts file
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
How To Download and Extract the HOSTS file:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts2.htm
Replace it about once monthly to keep it updated

I am concerned about the stuff that appeared in the system restore and the socket 11004 errors that i never used to get. Other than that all seems fine thanks

Socket errors when and what programs are you using at the time ?
I assume SpyBot suring updates ?

After a week or so if the pc is ok you can flush the old system restore points, by turning off system restore, restart the PC and turning it on again.

socket errors updating spybot, downloading e-mails, also when i get this problem i cannot access any web pages, something is blocking access to the web altogether. I realise it could be a problem with my ISP.

Thanks for your time

If sometimes you can update and there isnt a problem with emails and sometimes there is then yes it sounds like your internet provider.
