The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "WinAntiVirusPro2006" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
WinAntiVirusPro2006 copies dll to system and exe- and dll-file to the System-folder, create "WinAntiVirusPro 2006"-folder.
This startup entry is started automatically from AutoRun ("WinAntiVirusPro2006") in the registry and downloads and executes some install files
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "WinAntiVirusPro2006" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\WinAntiVirus Pro 2006\WinAV.exe /min".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

A file with an unknown location named "WinAntiVirusPro2006FreeInstall_de.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\av.cpl".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\ppofmap.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\stera.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\wvvwa.ini2".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\wvvwa.tmp".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\drivers\FOPN.sys".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\drivers\vspf_hk5.sys".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\drivers\vspf5.sys".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If WinAntiVirusPro2006 uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\WinAntiVirus Pro 2006".

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

References to the file "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\WinAntiVirus Pro 2006\WapCHK.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
Delete the registry value "BootStera" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\".
Delete the registry value "BootStera" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\".
If WinAntiVirusPro2006 uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
