The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Zlob.HomepageMonitor" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
This malware gets installed silently with the Incodec trojan. It does not appear on screen but runs silently in background and adds itself as a browser helper object to the Internet Explorer and uses policies to start itself at systemstart.
Removal Instructions:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\bpunst.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\iesmn.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\iesbpl.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\pmuninst.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\smmain.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\iesuninst.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\bpmon.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec\smmon.exe".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Zlob.HomepageMonitor uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Remove "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec" from registry value "Path" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Protection Tools\".
Remove "<$PROGRAMFILES>\IntCodec" from registry value "Path" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Security Tools\".
Delete the registry key "{1da7dbe8-c51b-4ae4-bc6e-21863349b0b4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{7b4d79df-9ef0-429d-a0e9-d9b138c6a53b}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{4734044c-7427-43d8-adbe-df942e52bef2}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{2810fba5-55ec-4bee-8263-0e2fa5883768}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{1da7dbe8-c51b-4ae4-bc6e-21863349b0b4}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{7b4d79df-9ef0-429d-a0e9-d9b138c6a53b}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{4734044c-7427-43d8-adbe-df942e52bef2}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{2810fba5-55ec-4bee-8263-0e2fa5883768}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{5753791B-F607-48CA-814E-91C14D081F9E}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
Delete the registry key "{5753791b-f607-48ca-814e-91c14d081f9e}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{5753791b-f607-48ca-814e-91c14d081f9e}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry value "homepage.monitor.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\explorer\run\".
If Zlob.HomepageMonitor uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
