The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Baciami" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
A dialer is installed on the system with an autorun entry in the registry. The Internet Explorer Startpage is also changed to a porn-site.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "ciakaisen.exe" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\ciakaisen.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$WINDIR>\Downloaded Program Files\smallActive.inf".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\ciakaisen.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\smallActive.dll".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Baciami uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{9F5BB9E1-31AE-4A13-8734-15CED0F60A3D}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
Delete the registry key "ADWhere Component" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ActiveXCOM.myActiveXCOM", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ActiveXCOM.myActiveXCOM.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{303BC80E-D805-41C8-9456-566BE6BB44C7}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{8DAB5C8C-C784-4651-84F7-B6C9F4EEC53D}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
References to the file "<$SYSDIR>/ciakaisen.exe" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ModuleUsage\.
References to the file "<$SYSDIR>/smallActive.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ModuleUsage\.
References to the file "<$SYSDIR>\ciakaisen.exe" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "<$SYSDIR>\smallActive.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
If Baciami uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
