The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Aureate" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$SYSDIR>\advert.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\amcis.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\anadsc.ocx".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\anadscb.ocx".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\adimage.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\htmdeng.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\IPCClient.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\msipcsv.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\tfde.dll".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Aureate uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "Aureate" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\".
Delete the registry key "Aureate" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "Aureate" at "HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\".
Delete the registry key "Aureate" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ANADSC.AureateAd", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Stub.CIEStub", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Stub.NetscapeStop", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE27C-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE288-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE28A-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{F6947F36-500D-11D3-B964-00500493A421}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE27B-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}\" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE287-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}\" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE289-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}\" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{B68C4E20-48E9-11D3-B964-00500493A421}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Typelib\".
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE26D-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{EBBFE27C-BDF0-11D2-BBE5-00609419F467}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
References to the file "\advert.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\adimage.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\amcis.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\anadsc.ocx" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\anadscb.ocx" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\htmdeng.exe" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\IPCClient.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\msipcsv.exe" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "\tfde.dll" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
If Aureate uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Browser:

The following browser plugins or items can either be removed directly in your browser, or through the help of e.g. Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer).

Please remove Browser Helpers named "CIEStub Class".
