The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "BrowserToolbar" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Backdoor. Information about this one was collected from Symantec ( http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.autoupder.html ) and Trend Micro ( http://www.antivirus.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=TROJ_SUA.A ) homepages, as I couldn't yet catch it.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries pointing to "ausvc.exe".
Entries pointing to "bvt.exe".
Entries pointing to "mnsvc.exe".
Entries pointing to "absr.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$WINDIR>\ausvc.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\bvt.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\mnsvc.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\absr.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If BrowserToolbar uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ABsr.ABsr", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ABsr.ADrv", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "BLSIM", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "BrowserEvt.BrowserEvent", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{6541B981-2E27-46B1-A2CC-8264A75B74FE}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{868B015F-3515-44DB-B0AD-182CD058985E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{9A05FE9B-5B52-4D13-A77D-FA7C38557A8E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{BAE85C97-2CD4-45C3-A1ED-E4CEF7C6AA52}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{C76BE992-2BC3-41A4-8B87-A8C01FE419A7}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{F53C844A-D9C8-4E92-B923-C05B46C4A7E3}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{FBE091E5-DF43-4FFB-AECC-7E3A3BC7B0D9}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{8B034058-08B0-4CB3-B2E8-60238B4967F2}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "ABsr.EXE" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "bvt.EXE" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{6D8B1B74-4AB8-473B-B479-253FA1936802}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
If BrowserToolbar uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
