The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Gratisware" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

For our Pop-Up Ads, very little information is required, other than knowing in what part of the world you are located. (For example, zip code, country code, etc.) Any information you provide is used to make your ad viewing a pleasant, beneficial experience by providing you with ads more closely aligned with your interests.

Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$SYSDIR>\CRS.EXE".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\CRS32.DLL".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\NEXT.DL_".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\CRS32.REG".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Gratisware uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Gratisware".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Gratisware uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

References to the file "CRS32.DLL" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "CRS32.REG" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
References to the file "NEXT.DL_" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
A key with a likely random name in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Typelibs\ that has "Crs32 1.0 Type Library" as its default value data.
A key with a likely random name in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interfaces\ that has "ICrsHO" as its default value data.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "CrsHO.CrsHO", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "CrsHO.CrsHO.1", plus associated values.
A key with a likely random name in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ that has "CrsHO Class" as its default value data.
Delete the registry key "{5843A29E-1246-11D4-BA8C-0050DA707ACD}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "Gratisware" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\".
Delete the registry key "G32" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\".
Delete the registry key "Gratisware.Exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\".
If Gratisware uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Browser:

The following browser plugins or items can either be removed directly in your browser, or through the help of e.g. Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer).

Please remove Browser Helpers named "CrsHO Class".
