So my trial version of Nero has expired, but I'm hoping not to shell out some cash just to buy the full version 'cause I don't make full use of each feature anyway.

What's a good alternative to Nero? I found free stuff on download.com but I couldn't find like a "best of" list by an expert. I know there are lots of experts here ( :) ) so I thought I'd ask.

I mostly used Nero for making mixed tapes and working with ISO files. But now I also have some home videos (mostly .avi) that I want to burn on a playable DVD.

Thanks for the advice, guys! :)

I know only 2 alternatives:
CDBurnerXP (http://cdburnerxp.se/)
JetBee (http://www.complexnt.com/)
I haven't tried them, but they should be ok.
