The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Alertline" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Installs a service, a browser helper object and an autorun entry. May monitor browser activity in order to display content related pop ups.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "alert" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\alertup.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "alert uninstall".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\AlertLib.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\AlertLib.dll.intermediate.manifest".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\AlertLine.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\AlertLine.dll.intermediate.manifest".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\alertup.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\alertup.exe.intermediate.manifest".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert\uninstall.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\drivers\alert.sys".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Temp\ver.dat".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Alertline uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\alert".

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "AlertLine" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "AlertLine.AlertObj", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "AlertLine.AlertObj.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{F915D0DB-7147-49F5-99B9-7867D102E552}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "AlertLine.DLL" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{4842CF8C-9ADE-4E37-B84E-812397AA1D64}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{118ABBD6-6D64-47BB-8C2D-48C2C3BE629B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{E22DE215-1B10-4192-B186-AB43EF227068}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{F5ECC3AF-EFF4-4658-9604-3A73BE2BF9B4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "AlertLine" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "{4842CF8C-9ADE-4E37-B84E-812397AA1D64}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "alert" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "alert" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "alert" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
If Alertline uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
