The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Infomeca" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
The downloaded files are installed as browser helper objects. These are originally from Korea. They are installed without user consent and may produce popups.
Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$WINDIR>\SearchHelper.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\SearchHelper.dll".
A file with an unknown location named "SearchHelper.dll".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\SearchInfoBar.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\SearchInfoBar.dll".
A file with an unknown location named "SearchInfoBar.dll".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Infomeca uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{C04BB70C-5F50-473B-8A57-34F452CB0D96}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
Delete the registry key "{C04BB70C-5F50-473B-8A57-34F452CB0D96}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{8E136450-04AB-4009-BFB1-64C05731BDDC}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SearchHelper.SearchHelp", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SearchHelper.SearchHelp.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{720DA8C8-617E-4B2B-9ED4-D8C194B4FA54}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{C04BB70C-5F50-473B-8A57-34F452CB0D96}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry value "{C04BB70C-5F50-473B-8A57-34F452CB0D96}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks\".
Delete the registry key "{F7363708-3CA4-4974-AFDA-9725A628FEFC}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
Delete the registry key "{F7363708-3CA4-4974-AFDA-9725A628FEFC}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{F4ADAF71-36A5-4412-B8B8-9D30A8A12272}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SearchInfoBar.SearchInfoBarBand", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SearchInfoBar.SearchInfoBarBand.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{162FE771-A34B-4062-A6FB-6939E81FFC31}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry value "{F7363708-3CA4-4974-AFDA-9725A628FEFC}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\".
If Infomeca uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
