The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "IEHelper.e" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Installs IEtoolbar keys in the registry which may cause trouble. It is known to be part of Adware. (see: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;de;289849) The adobeplayer rootclass connects to a server and saves activity to the files bootval.dat and datinfo.dat in the Windows directory which may be manually deleted.

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "supdate2.dll" and pointing to "RUNDLL32.EXE <$SYSDIR>\supdate2.dll,Run".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$WINDIR>\estAlive.dll".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\IEYHelper.dll".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If IEHelper.e uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "AdobePlayer.IeEventObj", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "AdobePlayer.IeEventObj.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{0FAFD871-DFE0-496D-8953-0D5BA28E9766}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{16E12233-E896-45E7-99FF-3CBC35628F51}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{520A15BA-90EF-4372-A788-BB7F4E2F8137}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{0FAFD871-DFE0-496D-8953-0D5BA28E9766}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
Delete the registry key "{0FAFD871-DFE0-496D-8953-0D5BA28E9766}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{A2B7A0F0-B697-4A71-8D91-43443F57D7BB}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{A57E074F-56D8-4A33-8112-AAC9693AA909}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{A927C078-E82F-471B-83F5-3D1504F7D01B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{5C761D09-377E-4EAC-ADA1-C9CDE39B5674}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{EED86703-463C-41FE-8163-D44A778841B5}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{668A536F-359D-4699-9C2B-2C70893E1A8C}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{DD18CEC3-ABED-4391-AC52-D5275E6EA2FE}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "EstAlive.estAliveObj", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "estAlive.estInsObj", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "IEYHlprObj.IEYHlprObj", plus associated values.
Delete the registry value "supdate2.dll" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce\".
Delete the registry key "{5C761D09-377E-4EAC-ADA1-C9CDE39B5674}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{A2B7A0F0-B697-4A71-8D91-43443F57D7BB}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
