The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "EZ-Searching" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

A file with an unknown location named "ctadl2.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\ctavp3.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\ctadl1.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\ctpp2.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\ctsr2.dll".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If EZ-Searching uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{34D516EA-40E3-4E3B-8BA8-505112738ED5}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry value "{B418B139-414D-4374-820F-EE74520C5A0D}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Ctadl1.ctadl", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Ctadl1.ctadlctrl", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{87D1A6EF-8CBC-458A-84B5-0333562418CD}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{AEFCDEC8-EB7D-429F-BC73-4F30D07BFE41}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{07E890E3-EF0C-4EA6-9F79-C5749ACA9CC1}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{96515724-397E-48C7-8974-86C203E666E1}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{458BE2D9-F8DB-43D1-A7EF-73E29C4EF9B6}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{AEFCDEC8-EB7D-429F-BC73-4F30D07BFE41}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Ctpp1.ctpp", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{4B021269-DD24-48B2-96B4-DA121E9C0502}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{C2ADDAED-8302-4739-A547-695BB2128154}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{953F9256-6261-492B-AE38-73B499ADE67F}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{4B021269-DD24-48B2-96B4-DA121E9C0502}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Ctsr1.ctsr", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{858126B0-3708-4051-AE8E-B48521401CA2}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{23BCD361-4B65-428D-880F-CF1588652CC4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{B952F0C1-D3B8-4807-BD4B-AE7528EF7509}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{858126B0-3708-4051-AE8E-B48521401CA2}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
If EZ-Searching uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Browser:

The following browser plugins or items can either be removed directly in your browser, or through the help of e.g. Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer).
