The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "KeywordHijacker" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "xpdrv32".
Products that have a key or property named "WebSearch".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

A file with an unknown location named "Remove.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If KeywordHijacker uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\WebSearch".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Windrv".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If KeywordHijacker uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "xpdrv32.class", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{9D318D1A-25A3-4789-9174-B60F097E95FE}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{C7F18AFA-114B-470A-A781-D2870E9BB69F}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{31A04FDA-8E2C-425E-94C5-77C834FB2D80}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{F38696FC-7143-4B0A-9052-A7A96E398D11}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{1FF04B25-0A23-4A12-960C-73F8B9950436}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{3EF8392C-9743-4CCD-9D8B-D6288F524F0A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{963004A0-1A62-4740-ABCC-737DE5B5BF4B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "WebSearch.WSearch", plus associated values.
If KeywordHijacker uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
