The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "FunWebProducts" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
This trojan does install the described items and a lot of more applications the user did not ask for.
It is also detected as trojans by various antivirus scanners because it does not clearly state what it brings along.


Supposed Functionality:
FunWebProducts is supposed to install funny icons or smileys.
Privacy Statement:
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (such as names or email addresses) about users of the Software or the Web Sites ("you"), unless you specifically decide to provide such information (such as by emailing a help request to us or when registering to use the My Info feature, as described below). We do not sell, rent or trade any personally identifiable information you provide when using the Software or the Web Sites.

When you visit the Web Sites, we may place a small text file-called a "cookie"-on your computer that allows us to identify your Web browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service, and to store your preferences and settings. Importantly, a cookie does not allow us to obtain any personally identifiable information (such as your real name or address) unless you have specifically provided such information when using the Web Sites or the Software.

We also capture your source IP address which is a standard practice for most internet sites. We in no way associate your IP address with any cookies and do not use your IP address in conjunction with any personally identifiable information.

Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Internet Explorer\msimg32.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\m3ffxtbr.jar".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\m3ffxtbr.manifest".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\NPMyWebS.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Uninstall Fun Web Products.dll".
A file with an unknown location named "SmileyCentralInitialSetup1.0.0.8.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\systemini.exe".
A file with an unknown location named "Paint Shop Photo Album [ crack].exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If FunWebProducts uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

The directory at "<$APPDATA>\FunWebProducts\Data".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\FunWebProducts\ScreenSaver".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\FunWebProducts\ScreenSaver\Images".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\FunWebProducts".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If FunWebProducts uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Remove "http://edits.mywebsearch.com/toolbaredits/menusearch.jhtml" from registry value "" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\&Search\".
Delete the registry key "{38A7C9DA-8DB7-4D0F-A7B1-C4B1A305BDDB}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{A6573479-9075-4A65-98A6-19FD29CF7374}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{D778513B-1C40-4819-B0C5-49E40B39AFD0}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "FunWebProducts.BrowserOverlayBarButton", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "FunWebProducts.BrowserOverlayBarButton.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "FunWebProducts.BrowserOverlayEmbed", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "FunWebProducts.BrowserOverlayEmbed.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{8E6F1832-9607-4440-8530-13BE7C4B1D14}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
