MS Internet Explorer v6.0.2900
MS Windows XP v2002 SP 2
Browsing the internet using IE, any URLs not directly typed into the address bar are hijacked and redirected to advertisting, link farm pages and related pages that are NOT the original link clicked.
Ran McAfee Virus online scan until it came up clean.
Ran Spybot in safe mode twice until it came up with no red entries.
Hijacking is still occuring.

Download and run blacklite click > scan then > next, next again then exit
there will be a new txt near blacklite. post it please.
Important: If any files show Do not rename them YET.....legitimate files can be listed.
Download and run Silentrunners.Vbs post the log it creates please
http://www.silentrunners.org/sr_scriptuse.html click no to not skip the suplimentry searchs
Wait until there is a All Done message !!, Then open and post the log next to it.
Your antivirus script protection might interfear or alert, please allow it to run after a bit box will say done.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe
Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

A quick test of a handful of links and sites on the browser appears ok. No hijacking so far that I've noticed. Is there anything further I need to do? How can I prevent this PC from having the same problem in the future?

Update suns java manualy
Sun Java V1.5.0_06 is Available: http://java.com/en/index.jsp
Afterwards Turn off it's auto-updater,(Its buggy) , in control panel java >
update tab uncheck its option to update automatically.
After you install the newer version its important to uninstall the old versions, via addremove programs.
