Threat Details:

Categories:
pups

Description:
Sleepy appears to do what it is supposed to but it also installs a hidden svchost.exe in the windows directory. There is also an admtask.exe installed and registered in the system start, this exe file is identical to the launcher.exe within the sleepy directory. The faked svchost.exe is run by the sleepy service and will be recreated should it be removed. This behaviour is highly suspicious but did not show any harmful internet traffic or manipulation of the computer.
Supposed Functionality:
supposed to shut down the computer with a scheduler
