View Full Version : VIRTUMONDE....or something like that

Sorry this is additional to my other post - not sure if ive done this right - but i run all the tools i know and this virtumonde wont go away....i think my daughter has bugged up the Pc downloading some DS Roms from a website....the Internet is being hijacked all over the place and franklly has come to a halt.

I have run malaware bytes and it found loads of trojans. Ive delted them, disconnected from the internet and rebooted - and i am running another scan as we speak.

Spybot has been popping me 'registry entry attempt' windows, of which i have been denying access.

Ive also run spybot and adaware , of which both found enough viruses to make your eyes water.

Avats has been popping up with detections as well and ive been moving items to the chest.

It seemes that once the flood gates have been opened they have just taken over the PC.

Ive run Hijackthis and have posted the log file below.

Hi


Disable Spybot's TeaTimer to make sure it won't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode
If it is not already set to do this, go to the Mode menu
select
Advanced Mode

On the left hand side, click on Tools
Then click on the Resident icon in the list
Uncheck
Resident TeaTimer
and OK any prompts.
Restart your computer

Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop (right mouse click and choose save)

Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

Please continue as follows:


Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix, link (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html)
Remember to re-enable them afterwards.


Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.


When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:
