Hello,

When one has an infected machine it is best to do as little surfing as possible.

Subscribe to your topic and then you will know when you have received a response.

Don't worry, a malware specialist will assist you in the Malware Removal Forums and purge the malicious threats from the machine.

They are responsible for bombaring (maybe a little exaggerating) your desktop with ads. The thing about this trojan is that pop-blockers are unable to suppress it because it is not from the web, its coming from the trojan/system itself.

SmitFraud is notorious for it's rogue software. Like "XPAntiVirus Pro" to name one.

They're both trojans, and like Tashi said, try to keep surfing to minimum because the trojan might download more junk.

Just have some patience. One weekends, it might be a little slower because of the number of requests.

Just note that we all have real-lives and problems that we deal with. So we're not here 24/7.

Welcome to the Forum.

Using someone else Solutions could SERIOUSLY trash your machine so please don't do it.

If your having Malware trouble please post in the Malware Removal forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) and read all the stickies before posting

What is Ad Revolver, Right Media, Tradedoubler, and Direct Track do?
I'm just running scans everytime I log off the internet, not doing any surfing
as you recomended. Wondering if any of these steals personal information? O! yah and I cant turn on the automatic update is that bc of the trojans?

Thanks very much :red:

zyno, the entries you mentioned above are tracking cookies and those pose no harm. The general goal of a cookie is to save your login information so you do not have to go through the whole process next time (without cookies, the process would be tedious and annoying). The entries might come up after every scan because you'll pick up the entries every single time you browse the web.

I can't really help you because I do not know what the message really is. My answers would be vague because it is just based on a interpretation.

The process seems to be related to Symantec LiveUpdate. I guess you have Norton Anti-Virus installed on your machine.

Making a thread in the Malware Removal Forum is simple, just like creating your (this) thread in the Tavern. Click "New Thread".

It says "The application or DLL c:\windows\system32\hupabubi.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this agaist your installation diskette"
Should I get rid of the Norton?

Dont know what that mean but much appreciation if you can Help

Your second malware forum topic is here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=40819

This thread is closed because you have a topic in the malware forum and questions about the machine will need to be asked there.

You cannot post in the Waiting Room yet because it has not been four days. Edit: Ken545 has responded.

Best regards.
