View Full Version : I know enough about Spyware to use SpyBot but....[LOGS]

As well as AdAware too, but right now I am stumped. I am very cautious about my Internet usage and I rarely if ever have issues with Malware. However, this morning I somehow contracted a rather devious bit of spyware that is giving me troubles.

I do not know enough about that I am doing to know what it is that I even have, but I do know enough to post a HJT log file, which is below.

Can someone please help me out here, these consistent popups (especially annoying while playing a game) are really getting on my nerves.

Spybot also wants to run after a reboot, expected, but when I reboot it doesn't actually run like it used to when there was a problem.

Additionally, when my system reboots I get a new message saying that a .dll file is missing and it references C:\WINDOWS\system32\ihxmontr.dll as missing.

I had read in another post that I should have the HiJackthis.exe file in a folder under my C:\ drive path so I moved it from my desktop to that folder and reran the app, here's the new log.

Not trying to step out of process here or anything, but is there a reason why my post hasn't been replied to by anyone that could help me?

Did I do something wrong or not follow the posting rules? I read them and thought I was doing everything right.

Or is it just that the people that normally reply with help just haven't been around the last few days?

Looks much better, now for qoologic aka webnexus.

Download Brute Force Uninstaller (http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip) to your C:\
Unzip it to a folder of its own (C:\BFU). So BFU should be on your root. In most cases this is C:\
Download qoofix.bat (http://downloads.subratam.org/Lon/qooFix.bat) (rightclick on this link and choose save as)
Place qoofix.bat in your C:\BFU - folder. (Important!)
Doubleclick qooFix.bat, Close all browsers and explorer folders.
Choose option 1 (Qoolfix autofix) and follow the prompts.
Please be patient, it will take about five minutes.
After the PC has restarted please post another hijackthis log.
