Due to a virus I ran a recovery Cd from HP. After that I found that all my files are missing aswell as Office 2003 (need to reinstall). Before this i was running Comodo / Spybot / Norton against Syp/Malware and virusses

After several anti spy/malware programs (AVG/Kaspersky/AdAwre/SpyBot/Malwarebytes/SuperAntispyware) several trojans came up!

Win32.SillyFDC
Win32.Small.au
Win32.Packed.NSAnti
Win32Qhost.kng
Win32.Inject.kvv
E:/Mionet\Mionet-setup.exe

+ cookies and trackers (MRU) that continually come up!

I would appreciate anyone to help me clean up my PC

Below the HIJT log

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time.

2007-11-26, 04:26 <<< Shaba just helped clean this computer? Seems you assured Shaba all was well and he is one of the very best, is this the same computer?

I will see what I can do to help, but first information for you.

1) Cookies are a part of doing business on the net, if you don't want cookies you can control them, see this information:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/cookies.htm
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/privacy/config.mspx
The information is available for Firefox, I can not help you with cookies. Some programs, like Spybot S&D will find and remove them.

2) MRU's: see the google (free search engine for you http://www.google.com/ )
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080319041406AAQ36JQ
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=MRU%27s&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=

3)
Do NOT run 'FIXES' before helpers have analyzed the HJT log
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=16806
Here is what is happening, you are posting generic names for malware that can be anywhere on the computer, in any quarantine, virus vault, infected System Restore file, etc.
The information you posted me is useless without the exact names and locations of said items.

4) Please take some time to review this information:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2000031316555206
"Microsoft recommends that you have only one anti-virus program installed on your computer."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/03/AR2005120300087.html
http://www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/article.asp?article=articles/2003/s1407/38s07/38s07.asp

If you still want help, I will see what I can do after you post a fresh HijackThis log that show you are running only one antivirus program. You may also add any comments you think will help.

Thanks

Uninstalled AVG 8.0, as you requested.

As for the mentioned infections, I can provide you with logs for the exact names and locations of said items from Malwarebytes-Superantispyware-AdAware-Kaspersky and AVG?

Thanks for the given information about the cookies and MRU's. I'll certainly give that attention, but first a clean.

Indeed, same computer that Shaba just (last year) helped me clean.

Thanks for returning your HijackThis log, let do a good cleaning first. I want to say along with leftover Active X for old Java are a lot of Active X that appear to be damaged. I will remove them all, if I remove any you use, the next time you visit the site that requires them, you will be prompted to download them again.

1) http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat <<< right click the link and choose "Save target as...
Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop
Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat
to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

4) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

*Cleaning Prefetch may result in a few slow starts until the folder is repopulated:
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

If you still have MBAM there is no need to download it again, but make sure you update the program and run it as instructed.

5) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

Sorry for the wait, the forum was down as you are probably aware if you tried to get in.

Uninstall list: I look for malware and security issues and will not know all of your programs, but you should.

Hackers are using out of date programs to infect folks more and more,
Here is a small free tool that lets you know when something needs an update if you are interested:
http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/ While PSI runs in the System Tray for realtime notifications, I personally prefer to turn it off in MSConfig and run it from All Programs when I want to do a check.

I can not say the versions in your language are out of date, PSI should know.

Adobe Reader 7.0 - Nederlands

(if you want a smaller program, look at this one)
Foxit Reader 2.3 for Windows
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 <<< uninstall the old version:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2

Your logs look fine, I suggest you update NISand scan the system to be sure it is scanning clean. I also suggest you read the information I am about to post, it should answer most if not all of your questions. If all is well at that point, let me know and I will close this topic.

Some good information for you:

Here is some great information from experts in this field that will help you stay clean and safe online.

Hi PSKelly,

Tanks for all your help. I much appreciate it.

NIS didn't find anything, though there are still threats saved in quarantine. A I supposed to delete them?

Further, I used PSI (nice program and just running it when I want to, MSconfig). One question; It keeps telling me I am using Macromedia Flash 7, only I just updated to version 10? someway I can get rid of version 7 (is not in the add/remove programs.

I think you are advising me to clean system restore (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...s/mcgill1.mspx)??

I've read most information and I definitely find it useful, copied to favorites :)

On last question, though I think you won't answer me; I do use Utorrent, mostly for films. When I download software, what is the best way to do a scan before installing?

Need any logs from me?

Thanks in advance, again :)

Yes

It keeps telling me I am using Macromedia Flash 7,
Not in my area of expertise, try:
http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Macromedia+Flash+support+forum&btnG=Search

I think you are advising me to clean system restore
Well, I have no reason to believe System Restore files are infected, the link is good information from Microsoft that I post in every topic I close.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/mcgill1.mspx

I do use Utorrent
Sorry, we just do not suggest or support the use of p2p programs.

Thanks

Oke PSKelly,

I understand you do not support those questions, thanks for replying anyway.

Also many thanks for sweeping my computer and giving me the information I asked for. You are great!

I am one happy "customer" and hope I won't come back soon.

ThANKS
