• Welcome Guest, to the Spybot Forums! It's 2025, and we just upgraded our forum software.

Today is Safer Internet Day, and with our new forum, you can finally use passkeys to login. That was about time!

Of course, you could ask if a forum is still useful, with so many social media networks out there where you might already have an account, and met a lot of users. You can now use your login from some of those networks to log in here. And by posting here, your question and data is stored on our servers and not automatically shared with a whole social media network.

We'll also start using the forum for small bits of information, announcements and more again.

Hi,

am new here - please help

am attaching a bmp file of a screenshot.

why cant i immunize the S-1- profiles?

do these unimmunized profiles pose a risk to my pc? if yes, how do i get rid of these profiles?

if i log on as administrator, how do i go about immunizing them?

thanks

willywinky, run Spybot as Administer (log into Admin account), make sure all browsers are closed, open Spybot>Immunize (tab;Shield)>Immunize (Green Cross).

willywinky,

When you post asking for assistance it helps to give as much information as you can, particularly what version of Spybot and what operating system you are using.

The S-1-5-18, S-1-5-19 and S-1-5-20 are Local Service, Network Service and System accounts.

Spybot discontinued immunising these accounts in late 2007 because they are rarely if ever used as operational accounts. The fact that they are appearing in the form shown in your screen shot suggests you are using a outdated version of the program.

The solution is to un-immunise (undo the immunisations), if you are using Teatimer turn it off, then uninstall the program. Please read http://www.spybot.info/en/faq/56.html and after uninstalling, use the "This very small Fix"

Download and install the current version from one of the sites at http://www.spybot.info/en/mirrors/index.html. During the installation take careful note of the options offered. If you don't want Spybot in your right click menu make the choice during the installation. I recommend NOT getting the updates until after the program has been installed, and NOT making Teatimer active until after the first scan (and any fixes) have been made.

Hope this helps
